Tribes TLC 1 Certification: Building Community for Learning 

The purpose of this 24-hour training is to prepare teachers to develop a caring environment and school community, and to reach and teach students through an active learning approach that promotes student development, motivation, and academic achievement. 

Educators will learn how to:

• Develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and whole school community 
• Teach students specific collaborative skills to work well together
• Transfer responsibility to students to help each other learn academic material, to maintain the positive Tribes agreement and environment
• Use the progress for problem-solving and conflict resolution
• Design cooperative learning lesson plans 
• Initiate faculty groups for planning, co-coaching and support

Date: Session 1: April 30, May 1, May 2, 2013

          Session 2: May 7-9, 2013

Time: 8:30- 5:00 pm

(Must be in full attendance on each day to receive certification)

Location: Hamilton Campus (Room 14)

Cost: $220 (Includes text, supplies, refreshments, and lunches)

Minimum number of participants: 18

Maximum number of participants: 30

We wanted to let everyone have the opportunity to order more clothing if they want to. The deadline is Tuesday January 22nd AT THE LATEST! Both black and white options are available.

However, ** PLEASE put your email and phone number on your order form in case we are unable to go through wit their order. We must have at least 12 white items OR 12 black items to fill a order!

Boston Pizza Incentive Program: Earn Back Program

Boston Pizza has come to us for an incentive program to fundraise for Brock Hamilton Campus. We can earn money from Boston Pizza just for eating at their establishment!Here is the information they have sent us! 

Boston Pizza - Centre on Barton offers 10% of your receipts back to Brock University - Hamilton Campus, which entitles Brock University (Hamilton) to 10% of what your supporters spend.  A great incentive to this program is that you can get your friends, family, neighbours, supporters, staff, students and really whoever you reach out to, to help support Brock University. All you have to do is come in to Boston Pizza - Centre on Barton and eat, then write the name *(**Brock University Hamilton**)* on the back of the receipt, put it in our track box labeled "Community" and that's it!
