Donation Opportunities and Guidelines

*All toys/shoeboxes MUST be dropped off in your Cohort room by Wed. Nov. 7th!!! Take this opportunity to participate in these wonderful causes while adding points for your Cohort!**

1.) Operation Christmas Child

• Shoeboxes and brochures can be picked up from the IRC (front desk) – you may also choose to use a regular-sized shoe box or a pliable plastic box 
• Boxes may be wrapped but you MUST wrap the box and lid separately
• Choose to make your gift for a boy or girl (aged: 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14)
• $7 donation fee must be included inside the box (for project costs/shipping) along with envelope (attached to brochure) 
• Your shoebox may be donated to Costa Rica, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Guatemala, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Haiti, Ivory Coast, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Uruguay or Venezuela
• Fill shoe box with: school supplies (pens, pencils, pencil crayons, note pads, picture books), hygiene items, toys (stuffed animals, hair clips, t-shirts, socks), personal note 
• Do NOT include: playing cards, food, used items, toothpaste, liquids, items that can scare or harm a child

2) Micah House

• Follow same content guidelines as Operation Christmas Child
• You do not need to include a monetary donation
• Shoeboxes will be donated for refugee families in Hamilton 
• Please securely label shoebox with “Micah House”

3.) Hamilton Fire Hall & McMaster Children’s Hospital 

• Requesting NEW toys for children of all ages to be distributed the first 2 weeks of December 
• Gifts should NOT be wrapped!
• Please securely label toy with “Hamilton Fire Hall” or “McMaster Children’s Hospital”
